Artist: VICTOR MOSCOSO (1936- ) Size: 13 7/8 x 19 7/8 in./35.3 x 50.5 cm Staring out at the viewer against a mountainous landscape are the eyes of a wolf, meant to promote a joint concert between The Doors & the Miller Blues Band from June 1 to 4 at the Avalon Ballroom. This is known as Second Printing A of FD64. Moscoso “achieved renown for his use of striking, shimmering bright color ... He used clashing, vibrating colors and deliberately illegible psychedelic lettering to hold -- to demand -- attention, so that a viewer would ‘have to spend at least three minutes figuring the thing out.’ Moscoso played with the viewer’s faculties of perception -- faculties often heightened or at least altered by drugs” (Art of Rock, p. 79).
