Arie Meaders decorated face jug, this is well one of the best opportinunities to own a once in a lifetime piece. This has been in a private north Georgia collection and has been in two meseum's throughout its life. It was in the High Museum of Art in Atlanta on display and is published by the McKissick Museum in its publacation, we have liture on hand from the museum on this piece. No doubt this is highly soughtafter extremely rare, this is a very RARE face jug and in 15 years of dealing southern pottery these are the only the two we have ever seen in the public. Condition is great shape with minor chip on lip of jug, no cracks or repairs. This is decorated in black stylized hair, color eyes, red nostrils and red lips, lump of clay for chin, handle in great shape no cracks, eyebrows with hair in black color, brown skin color and applied ear's.
