1982-83 Artis Gilmore San Antonio Spurs NBA Field Goal Percentage Award (Gilmore LOA)
This brass trophy stands 15” tall and weighs 7.6 pounds. It was presented to Hall of Famer Artis Gilmore by the National Basketball Players Association in 1983 when he led the NBA in field goal percentage (62.6%) as a member of the San Antonio Spurs. The trophy features a female figure holding a child in the air surrounded by rings representing the lines of a basketball. Attached to the rings are brass letters that read “NBA PLAYERS”. Attached to the black wooden base is a plaque that reads “The Camel Awards - FIELD GOAL PERCENTAGE LEADER 1983-83 - Artis Gilmore - San Antonio Spurs - National Basketball Players Association” along with the NBPA logo. The trophy is in VG condition but still presents well with moderate tarnish to the brass and several dents in the wooden base. The trophy is accompanied by a copy of a LOA from Artis Gilmore.
