Bill Walton was drafted by the San Diego Conquistadors of the ABA and also taken as the number one overall by the Portland Trailblazers in the 1974 NBA Draft.. After signing with the Trailblazers, he was hailed as the savior of the Portland franchise and led them to an NBA Championship in 1977. His number “32” was retired by the team and in 1996, he was voted one of the NBA’S 50 greatest players of all time. Hall of Fame Class of 1993. On the left front tail is the “Oregon Athletic – Washington Athletic” tag. This tag was sewn over the original ‘Sand-Knit” tag with the size “44” portion of the tag remaining. Directly above is the “Sand-Knit Designed & Tailored Exclusively for Portland Trailblazers” tag. Across the front is “blazers”. Player number “32” appears on both the front and back. All these numbers and letters are done in red on black tackle twill. There is a number change from number “43”, originally worn by William Smith during the 1972-73 season. Walton has signed the front in a large signature in black marker rating an 8.
