German P.08 Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol, by Erfurt, #39, 9mm, 4'' barrel, blue finish, straw small parts, with checkered walnut grips, and later extruded blue bodied magazine numbered to the pistol, with eagle-63 inspector markings indicating possible re-issue to WWII era German para-military units. ''Zn/1918'' over chamber, and crown-''Erfurt'' on toggle link. Proofmarks consist of late WWI era Erfurt markings, WWII era acceptance proof, and what appears to be police type eagle to right side of frame and top of barrel. Condition is fine to near excellent as arsenal refinished retaining approx. 96% thinning matte blue. Re-strawed small parts retain approx. 96% finish. Grips with mild flattening to checks. Action is crisp, bore is fine with light frosting in grooves.
