![]() Rare original artwork for the band Smile - Brian May and Roger Taylor's band before forming Queen with Freddie Mercury Designed by bassist Tim Staffel, comprising a logo printed in red, white and gold and a poster reading Don't Forget To Smile, black writing on red ground. Identical artwork was used by Roger Taylor to decorate his drum kit, and this piece has subsequently been attached to a bass drumskin for display purposes only. Logo measures approx 22 x 18 inch (56 x 46 cm), poster measures approx. 8 x 10inch (20 x 25 cm) smile were formed by Brian May of the 'Others', when he was joined by Roger Taylor in 1969. The project met with little success although they did release one single for Mercury US called 'Earth / Step On Me'. The pair then hooked up with Freddie Mercury and formed Queen in 1971.
