Germany, very rare mechanical toy made by Phillip Vielmetter Mechanische Werkstatten, Berlin 1885, toy was only made as gift for best customers, it was the most complicated toy in the 1800's and features lithographed tin clown sitting at easel, crank operated mechanism sketches picture, controlled by double cam that can be changed to draw different designs - Napoleon, Balzaax or rooster. 6" h.
