[Breakfast at Tiffany’s]. 7 lobby cards (of 8): Cards 1-5, 7-8. (Jurow-Shepherd/ Paramount Pictures/National Screen Service Corp., 1961). Loosely based on a novel by Truman Capote, the movie focuses on the romance of Holly Golighty (Audrey Hepburn), a commoner turned socialite who is saving up money to support her brother when he gets out of the Army; and Paul Varjack (George Peppard), a writer who hasn’t had anything published in five years because of working on his novel “Nine Lives.” Widely considered Hepburn’s most important role. Actors named in lower border include Hepburn, Peppard, Patricia Neal (who played Paul’s decorator, Eustace Failenson); Buddy Ebsen (who played Holly’s Husband, Doc Golighty); and Martin Balsam (who played O. J. Berman, Holly’s Hollywood agent); and Mickey Rooney. Prtd in margin at lower left: “61/262.” Sheets: 11” x 14”. Few tackholes to margins and blue upper borders. Minor tear to Card 1’s blue upper border. Card 8 has chip encroaching slightly within green border on left, a few with tiny edge chip. Images very good.
