AN ANTIQUE FRENCH ROCOCO STYLE WALNUT RECAMIER
France, Late 18th Century
The hand carved shaped crest rail features delicate and masterful shell and asymmetric scroll work which drapes to shaped wings and carved acanthus form handles and raised on eight cabriole legs doweled to a shaped apron featuring the same delicate carving at the juncture; the recaimier features a similarly shaped footboard. Later damask upholstery. Beautiful light, rich patina to the walnut frame.
Very good condition.
