A VICTORIAN STYLE BIRDCAGE ON STAND
Late 20th Century
This functioning architectural maquette of a Cathedral features the detailed structural ribs of the spires and dome inspired by the Helsinki Senate Cathedral. The Victorians loved detailed and ornate birdcages which resembled famous structures which they also employed in conservatories. This functioning cage with doors that raise and are supported by a square mahogany stand with bracketed aprons and cross stretcher and finial.
Very good condition.
