AN ANTIQUE LOUIS XV STYLE BRONZE DORE BRACKET CLOCK
Circa 1900. Provenance: Hesse/Walsh Estate
Exuberant cast and chased bronze dore scroll work feature cast dogs climbing among the scrollwork above and below the enameled clock face. Surmounted by the figure of Minerva. ""CORMASSON A PARIS"" painted on clock face which includes Roman and Arabic numerals on verge. Also stamped on clock works plate. Lacks key.
Note: Published in Architectural Digest 1964 Winter Issue.
Good condition. Missing pendulum and hinge on back door is damaged.
