A GRAND PAIR OF LOUIS XVI TRANSITIONAL STYLE EBONIZED MIRRORS WITH BRONZE MOUNTS
Early 20th Century
The rectilinear ebonized friezes and aprons are supported by cast egg and pendant gilt bronze mounts. The friezes are punctuated by pendant floral bronze mounts and flanked by stepped corners adorned with rectangular paterae which are supported by elaborately cast gilt bronze capitals featuring acanthus leaves and quadpartite plinths. The capitals are supported by full length fluted and turned columns with acanthus gilt bronze mounts. The columns flank large, beveled mirrors.
