ORDOÑEZ ANTONIO: (1932-1998) Spanish Bullfighter, a close friend of Ernest Hemingway and the subject of the novelist´s work The Dangerous Summer (1959-60). Vintage signed and inscribed 9 x 7 photograph, an action shot of the matador in Las Ventas bullring in Madrid during the Feria San Isidro. Signed by Ordonez in dark fountain pen ink, largely across a clear area of the image, adding Feria San Isidro and the date, 20th May 1951, in his hand beneath his signature. VG £80-120
ANTONIO ORDOÑEZ (1932-1998) Torero español, amigo íntimo de Ernest Hemingway y protagonista de su novela Un verano Peligroso (1959-60) y amigo de Orson Wells, hasta tal punto que sus cenizas descansan en la finca de los Ordoñez. Fotografía de época firmada y con dedicatoria, de 23 x 18 cm, en la que Ordoñez luce dando un pase torero en la plaza de Las Ventas de Madrid durante la Feria de San Isidro. La foto es del año en que tomó la alternativa de manos de Julio Aparicio, en las Ventas también. Firmada por Ordóñez en tinta oscura, en gran parte sobre una zona clara de la imagen, añadiendo de su propia mano Feria San Isidro y la fecha, 20 de mayo de 1951 por debajo de su firma.
