An antique German high relief carved ivory brass mounted tankard. Has ivory core finely carved to depict a king's parade scene with cityscape to background. Mounted with gilded brass base and hinged cover jeweled with cabochon emeralds,sapphires and rubies. Has finial to top of cover depicting a king seated on a horse. 19th century. Measures 7 7/8" height x 6 1/2" length x 4 1/2" depth (20cm x 16.5cm x 11.4cm). 485 grams.
