James Henry Beard (1811-1893). Framed oil painting on board of a young child. The painting is signed lower right corner. Measures 7-7/8" x 6.25'", in a gilt-wood frame measuring 13" x 12" and further housed in a velvet-lined shadow box frame measuring 16.5" x 15" x 3". Beard was elected as a member of the National Academy of Design in 1872.
