Description

George Hoff 8 Day Walnut Chippendale Tall Case Clock. Brass dial with Roman numerals and sweep second hand, cast brass spandrels, painted moon phase and date dials. Face signed at top center. Works include two cast iron weights and weighted brass faced pendulum. Walnut Chippendale case has a molded broken arch pediment with radial reeded rosettes, center finial plinth, incise decorated tympanum, tombstone shaped inner matte and door with columns and side lights. Dentil molding under waist cornice and again above base molding. Waist has a door with radiused reeded fan top and fluted corner columns. Base has a concave corner square "turtle" panel with fluted corner columns and ogee bracket feet. 89 1/2"h. X 21 1/2"w.

Condition: Good with use wear. Missing winder and all three finials.
