Ex-collection of Bob Baker (1945-2009), collaborator and personal friend of Ansel Adams. Baker attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, studying photography under Minor White. Baker taught photography at the Art Institute of Boston before working as a writer and editor for the Polaroid Corporation. At Polaroid, Baker was introduced to Ansel Adams, who hired Baker in 1977. Their collaboration produced the following publications: The Ansel Adams Photography Series, The Camera, The Negative, The Print, and Examples: The Making of 40 Photographs. Baker also directed the Ansel Adams Workshops at Yosemite National Parks for two years.
