With a pair of 4" damascus twist barrels, rose and scroll engraving to locks, trigger guard, butt and tang, with safety to the dolphin hammers, captive ramrod under, engraving to the sprung trap, with crisp checkering to stock, signed to locks and top rib.Provenance : understood to have been given to 'Carter' by R Verney. John. Carter was the Game keeper for the Verney Estate , Claydon House, Middle Claydon, Bucks between 1912 -1939.
