American turned and painted maple rod back side chair with splint seat and old gray painted surface, with turned front legs and medial rail. Probably Middletown CT, 18th century. 39 1/2" high, 20" wide, 13 1/2" deep; seat height: 16 1/4" high. Paint wear and loss, some cracks, and age appropriate wear to foot rail.
