DIETZ "KING" FIRE DEPARTMENT BRASS HOT BLAST TUBULAR LANTERN WITH BRACKET, polished, bail handle and apparatus hook, wind guard marked "PATENTED JAN-1-89" to each side, font embossed "DIETZ KING" and reverse "FIRE DEP'T", side-refill feature, central tube marked with various patent dates, red/ruby globe with sliding wire guard. Fitted with a Dietz burner. Bracket with hook and wall plate for mounting, spring tension holder supports font. Late 19th/early 20th century. 18 3/4" HOA, 14 1/2" H to top of tube, 5 7/8" D base. Bracket 16" H.

Very good condition with some minute denting and wear, cap with a short split, several minor wire repairs, globe with minor wear and a normal flake/roughness to upper rim. Burner deflector with some roughness and minute losses.
