CUT DOUBLE OVERLAY PUNTY AND OVAL STAND LAMP, rose cut to white cut to colorless pyriform font, medial with a band of gilt scrolls, opaque white No. 40 base with worn gilt decoration, brass connector, No. 2 fine line collar. Fitted with a period set-up comprising a Novelty lip burner, thumbwheel marked "PAT JAN 21 / 68 & OCT 27 / 63", shade ring with coining, engraved and frosted Oregon shade with stylized floral pattern, and lip chimney. Lamp: Boston & Sandwich Glass Co.; shade probably Mt. Washington Glass Co. Third quarter 19th century. 19 7/8" H to top of shade, 12 3/8" H to top of collar, 5" SQ base. Shade 6 1/8" HOA, 4 1/8" D fitter.

Excellent condition, font undamaged with some minor overlay imperfections, underside exterior edge of foot with a flake, which does not affect the profile. Shade fitter with a minor flake, chimney with some minor roughness, burner undamaged.
