In the tackle collecting world, he is best known for his tenure with Heddon as their Vice President of 15 years. Circle has always possessed a fascination for all types of reels and collected some very unique models as well as multiple prototype and one of a kind reels in the vein of those included in this sale. Signed provenance is included with each reel lot.Aluminum Heddon Prototype Tournament Casting Reel. With no markings and a size similar to a Heddon P-41N, this extremely lightweight 1 7/8" dia., 1 3/8" wide spool reel has a unique tiny tournament handle with no grasps, possibly to reduce weight. The finely knurled screw off head plate ring provides for quick take-down and the crank collar is fitted with a sliding oil port to allow for lubrication. The spool is also unusual in that it has flat sides. An outstanding addition to any tournament caster's collection, in excellent condition."
