Egypt, Third intermediate period, probably 22 Dynasty, circa 800-720 BC. Made from wood, linen, gold lacquer, bronze and pate de verre glass. Mounted on black velvet covered stand (can also be wall mounted.) Dimensions of mask itself: 7-1/2"W x 10 -1/2"H x 3”"D, with Stand: 16"H x 9"W.
Provenance: Ex-Haig Collection, MI. Mask originally purchased by previous owner in the late 1970’s/early 80’s in Paris. An appraisal was done by Norman Hurst, a Member of the International Society of Appraiser in January 1998 (estimated value at that time was $20 000 ).
