Ptolemaic Period, ca. 332-30 BC. A large section of a painted exterior mummy wrapping, gesso over linen, in vibrant shades of red, blue and cream/white. Central image of winged scarab with checkerboard, lotus blossom and tongue elements, all contained within tan borders. Panel itself measures 8-1/2"W x 7-1/2"H , with custom matte 15-1/2" x 16"W.
