14KT White Gold 12.91ct Blue Topaz and Diamond Ring A4278. Excellent Condition! DL758TM. One electronically tested 14KT white gold ladies cast blue topaz and diamond ring with a bright polish finish. Condition is new, god workmanship. The featured blue topaz is framed by dual mirroring ribbonds of diamonds, completed by a two and one-half millimeter wide band. Identified with markings of “14K”. Containing: One prong set oval mixed cut natural blue color topaz, measuring 17.65 x 12.90 x 7.90mm, approximate weight of 12.91ct., clarity is eye clean, type I, medium dark, moderately strong, very slightly greenish blue color, (GIA vslgB 6/4), cut is good. Transmitting light with no distortion, transparent. Colored Stone Grading Report attached. Graded in the setting. A deposit of a thin layer has been applied to the topaz to produced the intense color effect. The process utilizes a very high temperature treatment, diffusion of ions into the topaz, plus in some cases neutron bombardment has been used to create the color center. Diffusion processes causes the added ions to become part of the crystal surface with no distinct boundary. Do not put a gem treated in this manner into an ultrasonic cleaner. Twenty-eight prong set round brilliant cut diamonds, measuring 2.00 – 1.80 x 1.14mm (depth est.) approximate total weight of 28 Stones = 0.69ct. Graded in the setting. Clarity SI-2 to I-2.
