Description

Made for Lula Howe, likely of Boston and Roxbury, in courthouse square pattern, having thirty blocks signed by maker, most with inkscript verses, the center block printed with Centennial dates, dove and Liberty Bell within four blocks each having a printed drawing of various halls from the Centennial Exposition in Philadelphia, wide calico border and calico backing. 72 x 88. SM. (Several blocks have faded or blurred ink, scattered spots, three of the printed pictures worn through) good.
