A thirty-nine piece sterling gilt silver dessert service, including twelve knives, twelve forks, twelve spoons, two serving spoons and one pair of grape shears, all with elaborate grapevine decoration, housed in a mahogany presentation box, silver marked for London, 1859, and GA for George William Adams (w. 1840-1883), case is labeled Vander & Hedges, Silversmiths/ 26 New Bond St. W.; knife lg. 8.5 in., silver wt. 93.25ozt (2900.5g), Plus, a three-piece sterling silver-gilt luncheon service of a knife, fork, and spoon, marked for London, 1858, and George William Adams (w. 1840-1882); knife lg. 8.75 in., silver wt. 6.44ozt (200.5g).
