A LARGE GOTHIC STYLE CARVED WOOD FIGURE OF ST. GEORGE SLAYING THE DRAGON, SOUTH GERMAN. Carved in full round of good proportions, tightly carved curls and the armor rendered in high relief. George plunges a lance in the dragon coiled beneath him on integral carved wood base. Probably 19th century. Height 39 inches (99 cm).
