Memorial Plaque (Augustin Biron) traces of verdigris, very fine £50-£70---Augustin/Auguste Biron was born in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada in December 1881. He was the son of Alfred Biron of Massachusetts, U.S.A. Biron served during the Great War with the 22nd Battalion (French Canadian), Canadian Infantry on the Western Front. Private Biron is recorded as having been killed by a sniper during the attack on Regina Trench, 2 October 1916, and is commemorated on the Vimy Memorial, Pas de Calais.------For more information, additional images and to bid on this lot please go to the auctioneers website, www.noonans.co.uk
