Description

This solid bronze coin was issued by the Franklin Mint to commemorate the inauguration of Jimmy Carter, and it was also signed by the President in black marker. The coin is 3" in diameter, and weighs approximately 6 ounces. The obverse has a bust in relief, initialled JH over the left shoulder. The reverse has the great seal, and the following words: Inaugurated 39th President of the USA January 20 1977. The smooth edge is marked with the Franklin Mint name, and Copyright 1977 by the Inaugural Committee. It was produced by the Metallic Art Company of Danbury, Connecticut. * * This alone is a collector coin, but the autograph makes it something extra special for Carter fan.
