Description
Two Satsuma pair vases in very good condition, intricately gold painted with cobalt isertances. On the given vases are represented against ocean and islands with Buddhist characters: Arhats, Kannon and Bodhisattva with a dragon. The clothes entirely covered by poly-chrome list, so-called "nisikidze" ("a brocade pattern" or "gold brocade"). A typical composition method Satsuma - paired relationship. Both vases are covered by under-glaze and up-glaze list with the image of helicoid lines and the geometrical motives executed by brawn and gold paints. The subject list is combined with geometrical patterns, ornaments in the form of gold points. At the bottom of products are put under-glaze inscriptions containing name Satsuma. 1868-1912, Meiji. Height 23 cm.
