1859 Pattern Half Dollar, Judd-238, NGC graded Proof-63 Brown.
Rarity-4. A very scarce major Pattern design type, having a Certified population of two in this grade, with only four finer. Excellent in overall appearance, having lovely medium chestnut-brown color and would likely have graded MS-65 but for a small deeper tone spot on the reverse edge near the very top on the rim and some scattered faint nicks and hairlines on the obverse. Pleasing overall.
