Handwritten label on verso Inscribed on reverse: "Fractur (sic) Horseman" by William Henry Oberholtzer. Found in Jerrico, Pa. but originally came from New Jersey. Evidently the work of a school student. Other fracturs sic) by the same artist have been shown at the Becker Gallery, New York and from the treatment I would conclude this item is one of his earlier works- Arch E. Horn- Am. Folk Art / Gallery, 113 West 13th St. New York"
