Provenance:
The chairs came from the Herrick family home of Southampton NY. They were one of the earliest families of American settlers in the 1700s. A British General Erskine was headquartered in the Herrick family home during the winter of 1778-1779.
Estimate: $800 - $1,200
Condition: Both chairs retain an old mellow finish. Some pins have been replaced. Many of the glue blocks are original.
