Piece of Shuttle Tile encased in a lucite block (3.75x2.75x1") with a card that reads "Presented to Clarence W. Williams in appreciation of your steadfast support of the Space Shuttle Program which helped Columbia's flight become a reality". The reverse of the card reads "This is a segment of a thermal tile which protected the Space Shuttle Orbiter "Columbia" (STS-1) from the heat of reentry on its first flight April 12-14, 1981". A great momento of a historic flight. Similar lot.
