A RARE ANTIQUE CLEMENTI COLLARD & COLLARD PARLOR GRAND PIANO
Very early 19th Century
This very rare, approximately two hundred year old square parlor piano was manufactured in London by CLEMENTI, COLLARD & COLLARD and predates 1815, when composer Muzio Clementi retired from actively promoting and working with the Collards, however; after this time his name no longer appeared on pianos produced after this date. The piano inner construction is attributed to ""W. Moutrie"" and stamped No. 1048. A six octave bone and wood key piano, having adjustable acoustics, and includes an exquisite pierce cut front piece, rests on robust turned legs, and raised on tapered feet with a bronze ring detail. Condition and wear commensurate with age, having minor chips to keys, however; for functionality, a restoration is recommended.
