Flown Florida State Flag (6x4") professionally matted and framed with a descriptive plaque that reads: "Presented to Kennedy Space Center by IMAX System Corporation to commemorate the maiden space flight of a IMAX/OMNIMAX camera, this Florida state flag was flown in the Official Flight Kit aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger, mission 41-C, April 6-13, 1984.". There is a copy of a NASA letter attached to the reverse of the frame that lists the 33 different (72 total) flags carried onboard this flight. It further states that "It is our understanding that the IMAX Systems Corporation will present these flags to be displayed in the appropriate IMAX/OMNIMAX theaters". Unusual and rarely seen. A small crack in the frames glass at the lower left is easily repaired.
