VICTORIAN DECORATED OPALINE BRIDE'S BASKET, translucent blue with white enamel floral and gilt decoration, oblong bowl with silver-plate mount to foot, original quadruple-plate frame decorated with large flowers and leaves, marked for the Meriden Silverplate Co., Meriden, CT and numbered 1566. Fourth quarter 19th century. 11" HOA, 8 1/4" x 12 3/4" D rim.

Condition
Bowl undamaged with some minor wear to gilding, frame with partial loss on one leaf which is hidden when bowl is in place, heavily tarnished.
