A skull from a Late Period Egyptian mummy, c. 664 - 30 BC. The skull is a brownish color from the oils used in the embalming process, but the color brings out the details of the anatomy due to better contrast. A most interesting piece and worthy of the oddity collector. Museum tag on skull. L: 7 5/8" (19.4 cm). Ex Wistar Institute of Anatomy and Biology, collected in the 18th - 19th Century.
