From airbrush art to acrylic and oils, he has ventured on a lifetime of techniques and explorations. However, his true passion is abstract expressionist art. It is this form of painting that makes him feel that he is representaional of Jazz, his other passion. The free style of jazz is an inspirational art form that he transcribes into a visual image. Through colors and composition, he attempts a sponteniety of random brush strokes that convey the sense of feeling he gets from Jazz music. Always searching and experimenting is the key to my creative energy. Most often Hudek is asked if he has a visual image in my minds eye before he begins a piece of work. Hudek may begin with some concept but more often than not the painting takes on a new life as the process is unfolding.
