Volkstedt Porcelain Horse Drawn Carriage: This is a 2 piece very large carriage with a removable top so the passengers inside can be viewed; the passengers are women in fancy clothing edged with porcelain lace; a footman rides on the back with a driver in the front; the carriage is drawn by 4 fabulous white horses; it is all hand painted.

The under glaze blue mark is that of the oldest Volkstedt factory of Thuringia, Germany and has 1763 in the under glaze blue below the main mark. The horse part of this piece is Circa Mid 20th Century.

(There are some small scattered chips and nicks on the piece.)

The carriage is 14 1/4" T x 18 1/2" L x 8 3/8" W; the horse part is 9" T x 19" L x 9" W.
