PHOENICIA, before 700 BC. A dome-shaped limestone weight with a crude inscription that resembles paleo-Phoenician script. This weight resembles the domed Judaean weights offered below, and although chipped it would have been valued as an eight shekel weight. Diameter: 30 mm, weight 90 grams.
