PHOENICIA, before 700 BC. A dome-shaped limestone weight with a crude inscription that resembles paleo-Phoenician script. This weight resembles the domed Judaean weights offered below, but it is more rounded and "flatter." Weight is for four shekels: 42.89 gm.
