JUDAEA, ca. 800-700 BC. A limestone dome-shaped four-shekel weight similar to above piece. Weight 43.68 gm. The paleo-Hebrew inscription is barely discernible under the surface encrustation. Proper cleaning would help. Cp. Munz Zentrum Auction 37, #4044-4046. Rare.
