CHINA, Sui Dynasty, ca. 581-618 AD. A glazed steelyard weight of one jin. There are blotches of blue color over a white background. The weight is slightly bell-shaped with a loop on the top for the steelyard scale. H: 9cm. A lovely intact piece attributed by Qin Guangming of the State Bureau of Technology Supervision, Beijing.
