1851 Colt Navy Revolver. 7.5 in long barrel, signed on the top “Address Saml. Colt, New York City” in one line. The 6 shot cylinder is engraved with a ship scene and Colts Patent No. 8986, matching numbers on all parts including ramrod, barrel, trigger guard, grip, pin, etc. The grip and trigger guard have a silvered finish over brass with walnut grip inserts and engraved to “Capt. John M. Lutz – 107th Reg. O.V.I.”. Lutz was the captain of this regiment through the battle of Gettysburg.
