Italian giltwood carved chandelier, 18th century, executed in the Renaissance taste, the eight arm fixture surmounted with a relief carved mount depicting an angel bearing a trumpet, dressed in a flowing gown with full carved wings outstretched and standing on a crimson sphere, above a tapered plinth suspending the eight lights, four with angel mounts, each depicted in a different pose and carved in the round, the lower tier with figural mask form medallions, (fixture hung in the foyer of the Classical Revival mansion built in 1904 at 2698 Pacific St, San Francisco by Newsom and Newsom for the noted millionaire, Julius J.
