S.", first edition, no. 6 of 152 copies printed by The Grabhorn Press, a facsimile page tipped-in after pg.18 a note by Steinbeck, dated 1942, hardcover, printed in black over a blue background Quarter dark buckram & rose patterned boards, gilt stamped red paper cover label, gilt-lettered red paper spine label, green dust jacket (fragile). Cleveland and NY: The Rowfant Club.

dust jacket is present but with one missing piece along top edge approximately 1 1/2 x 2". There is some water staining in the top corner of some of the pages.
