SHERATON SOFA TABLE. Attributed to New Y

SHERATON SOFA TABLE. Attributed to New York. Mahogany and flame veneer with old refinishing. Pine secondary wood. Beautifully carved with acanthus leaf scrolls on each of the four saber legs. Cast brass caps and casters on each foot. Platform base. The tapered column has an ormolu band around the base and raised acanthus leaves around the center. Two dovetailed drawers. Top is 30 1/2"w. 21"d. 29"h. Leaves are 11". Ex Art Institute of Chicago.
