This 11 x 11 inch piece was found wrapped in brown paper that is inscribed in pencil: Purchased by Harry Wilton at his sale in Springfield piece of Abraham Lincoln Damask curtain. Another notation on the other side in ink reads: Sent to her sister by Mrs Harry (Ellen) Wilton. Harry Wilton was U.S. Marshall who lived across the street from the Lincolns in Springfield Ill.
